Insulated/Isolated 2011
Existing house, found remnants, plastic facade, particle board, trim.
Bursting away from an appearance of solidity, the facade buckles, revealing the a thick soft and mixed interior, one that is not meant to be seen. There is a thickness that bounds out of the cracks around the door that in contrast shows the thinness of the facade its is disrupting. If out of order, this system of a house would quickly become undermined exposing the fragility of order.
This work was in display for one evening in the summer 2011.
